hey guys, as simple as this may seem, i am about to start my CAI and i want to make sure its done right. it must be boxed, legal and with as little heat as possible.
the filter is the easy part, however. i got quoted on a carbon pipe and was big $$$. also considered the possibility of getting one of those simota intake chrome pipes and maybe powder coating or getting it sandblasted for high heat temp paint??? cause the almost get as hot as the fruggin exhaust after a decent drive!

tell me what you guys think/have done.
cheers

nice setup man.

just wondering, what is the better option... to have the CAI piping going down with the pod filter behind ur front bar?

OR.. have the pod filter in its normal position is the engine bay.. and hav other piping from the front bar going towards the pod??

Hi !!
i've noticed in your profile that you have an EF8..
i personally think my setup is best ! :D but thats just me.
Amazingly.. the STOCK box has a single hole that can fit a pipe.. I've bought a K'N panel filter (its louder than stock! but not as loud as a pod) and used some stuff to make this

The only problem i have with this really.. is that it sucks like a vacuum cleaner!. so i sometimes find leaves..

But guaranteed cold air all day...everyday..Hyundai! hehehe

Funny thing is the there not diff in the cold air and the normal pod sitting in the engine bay

I've read a few Dyno tests and both cold and normal come out with the same gains

Tho the cold air one looks nice and clean

hahaha bum thats same setup as mine.
i was thinking of gettin a pod and making a custom heatshield box around it with a pipe coming up to in from the front (like that setup but pod in a box)

i dunno if that makes sense, its too hot here today
