Fines - Wanna know something

I have 2 fines I haven't paid yet, probably overdued or soon to be. Just wondering since I don't work but am on the dole is there like an option where they can deduct $20-50 every 2 weeks? What is the minimum deduction option? Also how can I apply for this paying method?

What state? Pretty sure most offer some sort of payment plan.

State is NSW. Can I goto the post office and let them arrange a partly payment for my fines?

my mate pays like 10 a week.... on a payment plan.. so that sounds like a plan for you to look out for.

im pretty sure all states would offer this but, usually what you would need to do is call them up to arrange a payment plan, there should be a number and tells you how to do it on the fine issued

best thing to do is give them a call and have a payment arrangement. I was in a similar situation but with a much larger fine. Even though i was working full time I still only had to pay $30 per fortnight.

"I can't afford to pay the penalty notice amount before the due date. Can I pay by instalments?
If you receive a Centrelink benefit, and are unable to pay the full amount by the due date on the penalty reminder notice, you may be able to setup an instalment plan from your Centrelink payment without paying the usual $50/$25 fee if you contact us before the due date on the penalty reminder notice.

Regardless of whether you receive a Centrelink benefit or not, if your financial circumstances prevent you from paying a penalty notice in full you may pay it off over 2 months without incurring additional costs. You can make part payments as low as $20 towards a fine, provided that full payment is made by the due date on the penalty reminder notice. If payment is not received in full by the due date on the penalty reminder notice, an enforcement order will be issued to you for payment of the balance with a further $50 fee applied. If you are under 18 years of age, the enforcement fee is $25.

If we do not receive payment by the due date on the penalty notice, a penalty reminder notice will be sent to you providing a further 28 days in which to pay.

nah im pretty sure the post office doesnt have that kind of authority to do tha

Call the RTA up man. I had to call "sper" which is the QLD people who collect the fine money and set up payment plans
