Creaking door check straps

Does anyone know of a fix for creaking check straps? My rear doors are doing it fairly badly (front ones occasionally too - but nowhere near as bad). Seems to get much worse on a hot day.

I read somewhere that it's not the actual strap, but the bracket rubbing against the car frame. Is this true?

Would loosening/tightening the strap fix it? Where can I buy replacement straps from? Can't see any on ebay, and I don't really want to ask the dealer, because their price will probably give me a heart attack.

For rye parts try a wreckers. If no luck there then Honda will be the only option.

i had this problem....literally sounded lik i was keeping ducks in my car every time the rear doors were opened.....i lubed it myself and honda done it twice for me. didnt have much effect so i had them replaced and my gosh there there expensive....lik 100 per door or something o_O
