Hi all,

I'm a new member (and new to the site).

Long story short, my little sister drives a 2006 Honda Civic (base model - vti I think??). Last night she came home and the check engine light was on so after a bit of a look around, the Engine oil was a little low.

What I need to know is:
1. What type of engine oil does the 1.8L engine take (and how much)?
2. What type of gearbox oil does the auto take (also how much and is it difficult for me to swap out myself)?
3. What type of engine oil filter does the engine require?
4. Is it easy to bleed the brakes - we've had the car since new and it's travelled less than 20,000km but my sister was telling me the brakes feel a little funny so my logic is to flush out the brakes first to see if that fixes what she's noticed.

My sister has lost the manual so that would have been my first point of call.

Thanks for the help in advance.
