Hi all
just trade in my RA6 with RB1 2007.
a few issues here :
1. when i tested the 3rd row seat folding motor, all good. arrive home tried 2-3 times, also good.
but after my little girl "play" with it, when i tried again, the right side (3rd row) cannot fold anymore.
but i still can hear the motor runs, but only the seat won't drop/fold. if i push with my little finger, just little bit, it will drop/fold. my fren said, it's the hook only. some said, the motor nearly "out":(

any advise ?

2. a. is there any fog light for rb1 ?
b. aftermarket ones ?
c. and where to install ? couldn't see any spare space ?

cheers

You can buy from dealer or look on ebay. There's one from ebay AU but it's for 04-06 model last time i checked or you can buy from Yahoo auction Japan. Maybe AusAccord and Evolution can give pictures of their foglights. It's not hard to install i think.

Can't help with issue one. Mine's pretty much up all the time.

Do you really need the fog lights? I've only switched them on like a handful of times.

If you DIY be prepared to do this

DMX I have foglight instructions in english. PM me your email or you can come get a copy if you're in Melb. I got the harness (ie, wiring, fuse, switch, standard bezel, etc) for $260. You will need to spend almost another $260+ on the actual lamp housing. Take the instructions and DIY yourself or take it to some random workshop. If you get the dealer to fix they will charge some stupid price like $300 just for labour if i remember.

THis is ebay aftermarket. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Honda-Odyssey-04-06-Front-Fog-Lamps-Spot-Lights-Kit-3rd-/380260070292?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5889443394. You could probably use the lamp from the Ebay foglights ($115) and get the harness from Honda Access ($260).

JBT is good enough for daily driving on the Odyssey. Stops alot better than OEM brakes.

Can't see the pics. But the eBay one is for the pre FL version which is cut into the bumpers. So I am not sure if you can use it on a FL verson mounting points may be different

re-submit the pics :
blue pic : fog on bumper
white pic : (left pic only) fog on airdam grille
so can i fit ebay fog into airdam grille ? (it's ok lah if only mounting problem  )

update about 3rd row motor seat : my fren said, i might park my car slightly up on the road/driveway
so today, i tried on flat road, and it's works
even his rb3, if park on up the hill road, the seat won't fold.

ok since you have the pics attached above then i may answer yr pm here. blue pic on the right is pre faccelift Absolute JDM model and the ebay set is for JDM pre facelifte M type model which is our AUDM model here. Absolute model has pre-cut foglight housing and even comes with foglight. the M model has to cut fitting the ebay set. presume yr 07 AUDM model is facelift model with LED tail light. so i'm 99.9% sure the pre-facelift model foglight bracket is different to ours unless you modded to fit which is possible.

so how to install our foglight? you have to cut the foglight oval shape on both side of 1 piece OEM air dam grille (thats how you describe) then fit the bracket with foglight from inside. once installed then you fit the foglight bezel by using the cover on yr left hand pic. far left is the bezel uses without front lip, middle is for with Modulo front lip installed and far left is for JDM Absolute model which is not applicable here unless you have swapped front bumper.

a installation manual shows clearly how to install the foglight and all of us here are DIY. so you can ask any family men here again if further info is needed.

^^ oh, i have a JDM version if you like to read Japanese :)

looks at the manual again and realise i mixed up the installation procedure a little bit, the foglight bracket should attach to front bezel with air grille in between.

that's ok bro, will wait.
while i'm still looking the "suitable" generic fog :-)
i might still keep the original bumper, since i don't want to 'touch' this family car (only 17"wheel, may be fog, and may be 2din gps :-)
so i still tryin' to get the fog bezel size of cl7, w203, and what is the other one, i forgot ???
hopefully, the size is suitable for rb1 FL, and do little bit of custom bracket/positioning.
anyway, all still in draft plan.., definitely will update :-)

bro, so means the bezel sit on top of air grille and also means if we look from the side, there's a gap in between (assume no front lip installed, just stock bumper) ?
or the bezel side will curve down to cover the gap ?

AusAccord
26-02-2011, 06:14 PM
different bezel will be used if no front lip installed, remember the pic you posted showing 3 different bezels. the appropiate bezel will cover the opening on air dam grille accommodate the foglight without leaving any gap.

finally, the fog cover has arrived, after delayed by disaster in Japan, and been quarantined for radiation screening. Cover is from Honda Japan, and lights is from US (aftermarket for FA/FG), and they're fit 100% by size.
FYI, the only size fit to RB1 fog are fogs for FA/FG, RN6, and W211, but W211's is expensive and RN6's comes with plastic spacer.

will do the customize later on (brackets and mounts, also wires)-will update next.
