Hey guys,

I remember reading here somewhere that when doing a rear drum to disc brake swap there is something that needs to be changed (maybe near the slave cylinder) to have correct brake bias?

Can someone please tell me the name of this part, and a picture of it too would be great?

Thank you

It's not a Honda, but I remember reading it somewhere here on the ozhonda forums seeing as EG/EK models came with drums in Oz.

It is a non-ABS fitted car

Can you please show me a picture of this?
And tell me roughly how to change it?

THanks

use 10mm spanner and socket.

This is what sits directly under the brake fluid canister isn't it?

differnt cars have it in different locations, so long as u get the correct prop valve an use a bigger master cylinder, u should be ok for the conversion

just follow your brake lines and you will find it mounted on the firewall.

if you don't know what something is, or where it's located on the brake system do you feel you are knowledgeable enough to be changing them?

I won't be changing it, but if I go to a wrecker I would like to be able to at least look/point at what I want

IF u got access to the vehicles service manual that would show everything, an since we dont know what car it is, its kinda hard to know what the prop valve actually looks like, an odds are, it will look similar to that picture, but in the sense that it should have that amount of solid brake lines coming off it, regardless of shape... an easier way is to follow the brake lines from the brake master cylinder....

I have just done it to my eg4, rear drums to integra VTI-R's rear brake disc. you need the whole bunch of shits eg. rear control arms etc. you also need a bigger brake booster and master cylinder then its all done. it sounds easy but turned out to be a bitch to me. good luck with that mate!
