Basically want to lower my DC5 an inch from stock height and thought I'd check out what others would recommend in regards to cost efficient lowering. Someone recommended cutting springs ones, any thoughts on that? Or what options would be best if I was going after some used coilovers? Thanks guys!

Go get some springs, King springs, Skunk2 or Teins. They are about $400. Cutting your springs will just make your car dangerous. If you want used or cheap coilovers they will probably be close to 1K. Whats your budget and is it just daily driving?

Yeah daily street driving, unsure on budget but hoping no more than $1k - seen a few setups with Teins, Skunk2s or BC's so was thinking one of them

Cutting Springs - For the mega tightasses and not to mention very dangerous, only thing you get out of it is a very low car

If you want a low car, just invets in some coilovers, will save u money in the long run

tein are pretty expensive, but u get wht u pay for. my mate use to have king springs on his dc5, but it feels so uncomfortabe. but i reckon if u pay 750 for just srpings might as well save up 4-500 more and get bc coilovers,

Inspect the Tein Basics.

If there is no visable leaks, you should be fine. From all accounts the Tein Basic is great if you want to lower the car, but not effect performance, as they offer about the same stiffness as the OEM coil/shock. They retail for about $1k new, so that sounds like it's on the money.

Remeber that you'll have to also get a wheel alignment once they are fitted (Which is fairly basic)

I can't believe you even asked about cutting springs.

Ive noticed the DC5's are very High stock, the Teins my bro got for his Civic Vtil didnt drop that much. Are Eibachs good and drop a nice ammount? Also How much are Camber Kits and do they help, worth it?

in my opinion camber kit is pointless on a DC5
on older teg's like DA's, it looks mad when you got an offset and the wheels stick out of the body.

Then you need a camber kit.. so u can ensure that ur wheels sit straight flush and dont tuck under.
on the DC5 i dno i reckon it looks ugly when they stick out, in my opinion dont stress about a camber kit unless your planning to VERY LOW to a point where it looks like u have no springs
