Hi guys, just wondering where people have mounted tweeters in eg civics? Are there aftermarket pods or pods from overseas models we can use? Ideally I'd like to mount them on the doors where the mirror adjuster is (factory location for newer cars). Thanks

In an EG Hatch they are normallly mounted on the inner door siding just 45 degrees (2 o clock position) above the inner door handle.

The original Honda Gathers Car Audio option in Japan had specific pods to put the tweeters in this ideal position. (Good luck finding them)

Most good aftermarket brands will include mounting hardware with their tweeters anyway.

You can very well stick to your original plan if you don't want to drill any holes into the door sidings.

Is there a cover for wing mirror bolts that has a tweeter mount incorporated available for us? I could drill the door but would rather not if I can get away with it

there is a optional gathers mirror plate cover tweeter available
which is a direct fit but very rare as well

ebay, they come up a few times a year or go on hondatech (usa forum) they sell fast, work and fit very well to existing stereo equipment and alot nicer than those poser pioneer/alpine items

Ok so I basically have to find a rare factory item to fit my tweeters :(. I would have thought somebody would make a part for this. Dont really want to drill holes in my door cards
