Is this the only head unit from clarion that can be controlled by the steering wheel, or can all clarion hu do this? Clarion has a sat nav system, do you know if this is also compatable?

Thanks aka_NSX, got your PM.
Could you post some pics on the kit that makes the steering wheel control work? Also, does it disable the factory HU?
Many thanks.

So is there any way at all to get a HU to fit in the lower pocket without removing the lid? Tried doing that with my custom install but the guys at the shop said that the sliding mechanism for the lid made it impossible to fit a head unit in there. If anyone has succeeded in doing this though, i would be interested to see how it is done.
Here is a pic of my headunit setup

Did you do you setup with a complete re-wiring? I want the factory stereo works with an aftermarket headunit. I would be interested to know if anyone out there wanted the same and did it.

that should be ok, you just need to get the line level converter for ur OEM H/U then get the aftermarket H/U that come w/ AUX I/P

Don't think you can "keep the door on the deck". It is just not deep enough.
