Hey im just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction to recondition my DC5R gearbox. I want to give it a complete overhaul. Bearings and syncros. I tried searching but nothing helpful came up, Is there anything else will I need for a complete overhaul? Can you recommend a good place in sydney? Rough estimates if you could too please. Im gonna do this when my clutch gives out.

whats wrong with ur current gb? syncros worn? gears not engaging?
Its usually more to reco a gearbox than to buy a 2nd hand one

To complete overhaul a transmission aint cheap if your gonna use all OEM products. If you planning to do ALL bearings + all gears and synro you might as well buy a new gearbox from honda. Parts alone will be close to 1.5k.

from my understanding, they are quite strong, and will need to take quite a beating for catastrophic failure. if yours is engaging fine no bearing sounds or any noises i would not be concerned :)

Lets say I get a little bit of resistance. Not crunching in second gear. when I shift from 1st to second i feel a slight tap halfway. Its not a fluid movement but still relatively smooth.
