I'm getting a rattle coming from the back of my 08 Jazz with 45000kms. The car is completely stock, hasn't been in any accidents and has been serviced by the book (albeit by a non-Honda mechanic). I've done my own investigations and am certain the rattle is coming from the rear hatch door. I posted a thread about this in the Jazz forum:

Would I have any trouble having this issue fixed under warranty?

does warranty require you have your car serviced at honda?

Most factory warranties only cover rattles for the first 30,000km or 6 months, where an adjustment is required. That would include something like a loose screw, ect, ect. This is due to the fact, anything like that should show itself within that time period.

But they should cover it if there is a part at fault. Cracked bracket, ect ect.

Warranty is always on a vehicle, no matter where you get it serviced. Just, they may turn you down if your engine fails and you have been getting it serviced by Jim & Bob on the nearest corner. And obviously parts fitted by an independant mechanic aren't covered by the dealership.

Nope, as long as all the items in the service manual are carried out, all is good.
