If you're doing labour or not?

$10g is a safe number IMO.

Good turbo kit with quality parts, new fuel system, engine management & tuning, new exhaust, cooling setup, some sort of brake upgrade + labour etc and other 'hidden' expenses.

depends if you want brand new or second hand kit, greddy kit can be had for about 4 k from precision mtq or gcg turbo,,

that doesn't include labour
and other bits and pieces you gota **** around with,, only comes with piggy back not full ecu too

pm TODA AU (adrian) on this forum - get a quote and learn a thing or two about cars. then go from there.

look at it this way, if u do plan on keeping the car for some time, than i say do the kit, its a worth while investment, but if for short term, u loose out heaps on doin the conversion, 2nd hand kits only retail for 2k max! so if u do buy a new kit, dont expect to make any money from it....

Just remember if you're going turbo these are the two most important things.

1. Engine Management System (ECU + tuning!)
2. Quality parts

And you won't need more than 140-160kw to have 'fun' if you know what I mean :)

$5000, for full turbo kit including fuel setup (injectors/rail/pump/regulator) and cooling setup (intercooler, piping etc), all exhaust components including upgraded cat-back, ECU + tuning expenses, and labour to install?

just a few basics-
Injectors- $500
exhaust- $800 (inc. cat)
ECU- $500
Tuning- $700
Radiator- $200
Turbo-$1200
manifold- $400
dump- $200
intercooler- $400
sundries- $400 oil/water lines, sump drilled, gaskets, new oil and coolant, etc.
Boost control- $50, electronic-$300
fuel pump- $100
Then start adding extras-
gauges- $300
blow off- $200
etc. etc.

This would be absolutely minimum prices for new, quality parts, and in all reality you wont pay minimum for most of these. ECU and tuning can really bite you, mine cost $2500 including boost control then add tuning to that as well (Autronic SM4).
get a Greddy kit and you can take the cooler, manifold, dump, turbo and lines off this list and substitute whatever that costs you. Notice that there is no labour costs apart from tuning in this list? most workshops cost about $80-$100 per hour

I would agree with dougie. If you cant do everything yourself, $10k would be the upper limit, there are so many little things that can come up and cost you money. I wouldnt even consider or start on this project without at least $6k in the bank and another car to run around in while yours in in down time.
