My sunroof opens properly but it won't close. I can hear the motor going but it'll only move like 1mm.
Do you guys think it's the switch or the motor? Could it be something else?

Easy as, just use a hammer and bang it from the top so it goes in.
lol jokes,
Freind of mine replaced the switch. Costed him around $80 + fitting from local auto sparky. Then it worked fine :),
good luck

When you say your friend replaced the switch is it this? Or is it something else?

Thats it,
but try this
My bad. I fixed the problem. I sanded 2 of the 4 heads on the switch and I put it back together, it worked like a charm. Thanks anyways!

I am having the exact same problem with my '98 Integra GSi.
Did you end up fixing it yourself or taking it to an auto electrician?

Try lubing the track of the sunroof up with some oil?

Id say it's the tracks, i'm pretty sure there's a manual winder in the sunroof somewhere to shut it manually also.

I have had problems in my aftermarket sunroof. Sounds very similar to yours.
I ended up using talcum powder on the seals and some bar oil (chainsaw oil) on the gears and the tracks seemed to fixed for me. (few droplets here and there)
I cleaned and degrease 'd before i started.

After a long time. Decided to try and tackle this issue. Not much luck :(.
Tried lubricating the tracks with grease, the motor only works once in a while, and you gotta push the sunroof, coz it gets stuck sometimes. This is when the motor decides to work.
End of last year, I took it to a sunroof shop (http://www.prestigesunroofs.com.au/). They claimed it was the motor, and quoted $580 to fix it. At the time didn't think it was worth it.
$580 is freaking ridiculous. If you cant be bothered going to wreckers, I have a DC2 Vtir sunroof motor taking up space in my garage. Worked fine when I stripped the car. Took me like 5 min to remove, can't imagine it will be hard to install. :P
PM me if you're interested.

Hmmm. How hard was it to take the roof trim off? I prefer to avoid having to cut through it, coz its cloth like material.
Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff.
Oh bru, it's easy as! You just remove some of the trim then pop it out, nothing to cut and you won't damage anything if you're careful. Download an integra workshop manual or hit the you tubes and you'll find instructions.
Interior stuff is a great way to begin working on your own car. Will save you over $500 too :P
