Hi all

Been doing some research on intake systems and have decided to go with the following setup for now:

Gutted airbox
Cosworth Airfilter (non oil type so no risk for sensor damage)
Insulate inside of airbox to reduce heat absorption

Have read that the airbox does absorb alot of hear sitting right behind the radiator. The insulation material should help it keep the air inside the chamber cool.

QUESTION: Does anybody know where to get good insulating tape from?

I tried bunnings and they had nothing for automotive use and neither did repco.

just leave the airbox as is. Insulation will act as a heatsink and actually absorb heat.
(airbox) Plastic absorbs heat quickly but dissipates it quickly too !
