Hello all,

what brake pads is everyone running? mine are very close to gone so i need to replace. i dont track or anything but i do want hard stopping power for the street in the odd case of i have to slam on the brakes coz some guy cuts me off... or a small child runs on the road...(its happened twice, i wasnt speeding, was going 35 in 50 zone and little girls for no reason runs across the rd)

Thanks

I recently purchased Project Mu club racer pads for my s2000. They do feel like they generate more 'initial bite' than the Endless TR pads I had before. I did also change my discs though from stock to DBA4000's. Less noise than the Endless pads too. I would probably consider them both a bit extreme for daily driving though.

i'd be going for a set of QFM 500 degree pads. they are designed for street/track and im pretty sure you can pick up a set for under $150. i can get a confirmed price for you if you want. pm to let me know

Here's the thing. If with stock pads you can brake hard enough to engage the ABS then you can't get much better.

In hard driving like on the track the pads get hot and lose their effectiveness. There are pads that perform better in a higher heat range but the trade off is they usually perform worse in the lower heat range.

imo - with ALL hondas......

Unless you spend decent time at the track - just stick with OEM pads. Less noise , less dust , dont eat your rotors........on the street it would be impossible to overheat them.
I personally took the ACRE pads that came with my EP3 , and changed back to OEM pads. So much better....so much more feel and confidence.

if your talking about OEM replacement, i would still stick with qfm pads. no noise, no dust, great bite & they are cheap as. retail price is like 80 bucks

well....to be honest yeah why not. OEM is still best - but if its deemed as a "oem replacement". then it can be a close second.
Point is all other performance pads are useless on the street. Noisy , dusty eat rotors and wont heat up to their rated optimum range ever around town.

i ran the ferodo racing pads DS2500 in my AP1.

on track had zero brake fade what so ever, and on the street, yes they created a bit more dust but i had very good life out of rotors.
if you are driving aggressive on street they will work nicely. only need a tad of heat to work way better than stock.
when bone cold, they are ok... doesnt take long for them to pike up.

i loved these pads and wouldn't change. u cant go wrong.

Queensland Friction Material.

read this link for my original expliantion on qfm's (tho the pricing is irrelevant now. can get pricing if you pm me) http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?132199-Brake-pads&highlight=brake+pads

i use them daily in customers cars at work, in my own car & all of my personal customers cars. would have to be the best OEM replacement pad on the market imo.

also the 500 degree street/track pads they have out now are really good as well and around the price of what you would pay for bendix ultimate

Just to let you all know, i spoke to my QFM supplier and unfortunately for both the OEM replacement & K500 street/track pads, you are required to send your old backing plates to QFM and they will bind the compound to your old backing plate. I apologise if i have misled any of you, but i did not realise this was the case. Turn around time is up to 6 weeks but prices are still good if you plan on having spare pads lying around - $80 for OEM replacement & $150 for the K500.
