Hi Guys fitted my Comptech short short shifter yesterday on my Euro. Whilst it was not easy to fit, it was not too bad but due to the heat in Melbourne yesterday I sweated buckets :( .. It makes a huge difference, the change is so short and also a lot more stiffer. The instructions from Comptech are not to bad but they are also missing a very important step ....cut the carpet away under the changer or it rubs against it causing drag....which I did. Now to get used to it ...

?? you cut the carpet under the shifter?
I fitted my no problem, was close to the carpet but not touching it.
Did you get the metal bushing aswell? suppose to help the feel of the shift even more.
I'm thinking of getting that.

Mine took me too long to do because the instructions don't line up LOL

Yes I had to was just touching if anything (very unlikely) got caught under it you would have to pull it apart again. I wasn't interested in doing that. Besides mine was just touching.

Yes I could understand that. I was at the dealers getting my first 1000km service done so asked them for the manual section which helped. :)

Ok Will do that..but the dealer fitted it. I can take photos. As far as a comparison compared to standard... Some one give me a standard one to drive, I have had mine fitted from new.and I have only driven a Euro Once before when I test drove it and 2 months later got mine..The dealer said is was more responsive when he drove it but.... I am changing the filter though from a Unifilter (Comptech supplied) to an ITG which from past experiences are so much better as they breathe better. They are making the filter for me at the moment (will take a few weeks) . I will let you know how that goes. BTW this panel filter (ITG) will fit Euros with or without the Comptech intake so when they work this out if you are interested I wll let you know where to get it from.
Why did you get the dealer fit it? Apparently in the USA if a dealer fits Comptech products it does not void the Honda warranty.

Because it was easier for them to do when they had the Bumper off installing the Mugen Grille when is was in Pre Delivery.

Yeah which dealer was it??
Pretty weird to have a dealer fit aftermarket & performance stuff onto ur car... Did it cost a bit to get them to install it??

damm I am gonna pay them a visit hahahahahaha... they still warranty the parts itself? aka Short Shifter or they don't warranty the transmission anymore?

What has the Short Shifter got to do with the transmission only affects the Cables even then does not affect them. The dealer is a friend so I get away with more than the average. But if I had issues back to Standard I go. I fitted the Short Shifter myself.

They fitted the Intake, Grille, reversing sensors, Side protection moldings (which I got in NZ), Tinted Windows and Body Kit. The Sunroof deflector I fitted, Short Shifter I fitted and the EuroR Badges I fitted (bit nasty with the grille to fit but done). I am getting the Springs from KMAC and getting them Fitted by Essendon Tyrepower. Honda OEM Speaker upgrade may be on its way but find out this week.
