Counterfeit Bearings

1998 San Marino GP F1, the leader breaks down , the reason ,

A counterfeit ball bearing breaks ,probably a copy of an NSK or SKF or FAG , if it can happen to an F1 team , just imagine about all the bearings in our cars,

I had a bearing last 9,000 KMS in a Honda, may have been counterfeit , may have not , Im looking into the problem

i think that is a pedantic view,

honda has quality control and with anything there will always be malfunctions,

e.g if an apple iphone battery dies could it be counterfiet? chances are no.. it is just a unit which had a flaw in manufacturing.

and to be entirely honest if honda was to build 500,000 honda jazz's or whichever make of car (using economies of scale) they would be able to obtain genuine parts alot cheaper than counterfeits anyway.
