K&N drop in filter

YO!

I'm running dc4 stock air filter with the airbox lid off atm. Thinking of getting a K&N drop in filter.

My question is... would i leave the lid on or off with the K&N. And what differences will i notice? Also any places recommend to get these cheaper? Best i can find is $115 from USA long ass delivery

man you really need to search... a filter with your stock intake setup will net small results... having the lid off with gain result but will eventually suck in hot air, resulting in power loss...
