hey everyone,

i would like to ask which is the best ngk spark plugs for jdm b16a???.. iridium or platinum? I'm also wondering where you guys buy them from and what is the product number for the correct spark plugs..

I also read about the heat ranges of the spark plugs, people say heat 6 is the best, which i have no idea what that means.

i just want to buy the correct spark plugs lol, and ill just DIY it rather than wasting more money.

thanks
jase

None are better that the other, they are all just as good when new. Iridium and Plat ones will just last longer. NGK copper plugs for a B16A2 are NGK BKR6E-11 (copper), its possible that the JDM version would be NGK BKR7E-11(copper) same as the AU DC2R. I'm currently using Iridium NGK - BKR7EIX-11 (Iridiums) in my DC2R.

Last question where to buy them from? Are the jdmyard's one okay, for my b16a because at the moment its backfiring and running rich..

Im about to do a service tomorrow.. Just looking for the spark plugs as the last item on my list..

Thanks
Jase

i always run copper plugs and just change them more often. Copper plugs are cheap enough to change before or after each track day or even every 2-4 services (depends on how much you drive)

hyundai excel plugs are the same with the coppers so there like 2-3 each
this is the exact words said to me when buying plugs at autobarn

JaseCheck your timing. Bad plugs are caused by other problems.

Anywhere that sell NGK spark plugs should be able to order the particular plug you need.

Type R b18c motor can use BKR7E-11
