hey guys was just wondering is there a DIY to clean exhaust?
i recently purchased a catback and had been abit dirty.
so i put some cutting compound on it and used a buffer and came up not to bad.
has anyone tried anything else ?

Yes, just get a cheap can of degreaser, continuously rub it back with a cloth until it's clean. Then use a metal polish like Meguire's or Autosol.
My brother's FGK Power Getter was typically dull/dirty when we bought it, but this is how it looked after I polished it up for him.

thanks for the replies guys.
i just tried using 1500grit wet sand paper.
took basically everything off.
now all i got to do is use the metal polish :)

Ta. Be careful using steel wool and sand paper so that you don't scratch it. If you're using sand paper make sure it's wet'n'dry and go high grit to get a clean finish. Otherwise a stiff polish should remove most imperfection if there are any.
For metal polish I've got both Meguire's and Autosol and I strongly prefer the Meguire's. I find it applies better and produces a better lustre.

I'd not really recommend the steel wool, too easy to scuff up your exhaust...
Using Meg's NXT Metal Polish atm, like it =)
