so my little 1.3 gli is part of me now.
ive scored a 03 vti-s (cvt) in very good condition, but crashed badly for $350
how hard would it be to mate the 1.5 to my 5 speed and get it wired up??
OR put the 1.3 dsi head on the 1.5L block???
or should it just pillage the interior, and save other bits and sell the engine and box???

... ummm u only really gain top end over the 1.5 over the 1.3, but the blocks look the same, so in theory yes.
The bores the same, 73mm, the stroke's different. the 8valve DSI acutally burns the fuel a touch better.
the vtech in the 1.5, (L15A1), only opens up a extra valve per cylinder, (i can't remember if it's exhaust or intack side).
That said, the engine's GE, (soo the 1.5 is the L15A7) is full i-vtech, (what that acutally is, i'll let you Google), revs harder, makes a few extra KW...
my L15A1 is in little bits ATM, while i've been getting custom turbo kit. been trying to track down pistons and parts... found the USA the easiest and cheapest place to get what i needed, (full head gasket kit here is $410+ and 10 days out of japan, (more now probably), were it ended up costing me $140 shipped from US)
CP make 9.0-1 and 12.0-1 pistons for the Jazz, in 73, 73.5, and 74mm bores
End of the day, maybe it's worth selling it all, and starting fresh?
