Usdm hondata should be fine with aus ecu? And tuning all good?
Mind you it could have been the company just wanting to make more money
Wasn't any traders on here btw

getting the p28 with hondata s300 already in it so plug n play.
getting ecu and hondata seperate is cheaper abit. but just to be safe i'll get the completed ecu, plus n play. in case bit of issues.
only problem is i cant find a d15b7 basemap in the hondata software, but i assume that d16z6 is same shit just with vtec.so i just disable it.

S300 will fit a USDM AUDM and EUDM ( non JDM ) ECU. the ECU needs to be preped. Compatible ECUs are
P06, P07, P08, P28, P30, P72, P75, PR4
S300J is ment for the JDM type ECU, so it can fit
P07, P08, P29, P30, P72, P75
I might haved missed an ECU moddle and the ECU's need to be modified to accept the S300. some ECU's listed above do not have VTEC or 4Wire O2 Heater support, These features are added when the ECU is made S300 ready. also you can add PWM for boost/NOS controll and IAB support to any of the above ECU's that dont already have it.
Prelude and Accord ECU's will not accept any Hondata Unit. The OBDI ECU must have the M66X207 series MCU in order to be Hondata compatible.
All the above goes for using Crome, Hondata, Neptune, Uberdata, hondalogger ect. all the same

you cant add a S300 to the DC2R P73 OBDIIa ECU. you have to convert to OBDI with a convertion harnes

So I'd have to get a p28 or p73 ecu with hondata and the conversion harness I use to have but yeah... Obd2 to obd1

I bought a new S300 unit from bisimoto USA just recently for $526. just waiting on it to arrive, postage wasn't bad, $59 for international express. :)
Getting adrian at TODA to install it to my P72 and tune very soon. Will post results when it's done!

dont go ebay just get it from a shop in the states called phearable they can put the s300 in an p72 ecu for you or just the basic one without cost.
i got one from them and had no hassles. they can even give you a basic map until you get it fully tuned...just tell them what mods you have and they go from there

you said its no extra to get them to put it in an ecu? your own ecu? they supply an ecu?
there are a few options there .. they can install for eg. into an obd1 vtec ecu for +$110.. or into obd2 ecu for $295.
kinda confusing...
would i want to get installed into obd2 ecu for dc2r or obd1 then get a conversion harness :S

is the turbo kit already installed?
maybe dont run the hondata until it is tuned, and when you drive it on the day to get it tuned, just make it so the car doesnt boost.

yes turbo kit is installed.
i was thinking similar idea to this, but in this way:
unplug hondata unit from the p28 ecu and just used the 28pin chip and have sum1 tuned a base map on crome or sumshit like that according to my setup.
that way least i can drive the car with more safely then now.
coz i dont really want to tune it yet bcoz it will be a waste of money now, since im building a d16 engine on the side.
so was hoping when the d16 build is finish i dropped it in and bring it to the tuner have em do their thing. better than paying twice for a tuned.
which cost both my balls sack.
if u know what i mean.
