Hey today when shifting hard e.g. 7.5-8 k shift :rolleyes
I heard a metal clunk sounding noise, had no idea what it was.
But after turning off the engine and starting it again id hear this real loud screeching noise, my friend sugested turning the steering wheel abit and when using the steering wheel it cuts out the sound for a while then comes back. ALso it goes away after a while it will screech loudly then after it ahs "warmed" up or something the noise will stop. But return again once ive left the car parked and start it again...i experienced a similar noise once when i was testing a car out and and it made a screeching noise at low revs until warmed up, the guy said it was the fan belt being too tight.. similar problem here maybe ?

Anyhelp would be great, need to figure this out..

Does it sound like a belt rubbing :P. Well that loud bump "could" have been a screw flying off either ur fan belt, alternator belt, etc one of the belts which then loosens the belt which then starts to rub. One day my car just started scretching for some reason and didn't have a clue why. Found out that there was a bolt totally missin where the alternator belt was.

Check all ur belts and see if they're loose or even warn on the sides or even after driving feel if the belt is extremely hot and causing heat. If one of them a loose just tighten the bolt/screw.(gotta love how technically and mature my terms are LOL sorry if you dont understand.)

I had a similar problem recently it was due to the air conditioning, dunno if you had it on or not??, but what was happening was that the belt that run the ac was streched out to far went through 3 belts before i fixed the problem, make sure belts are tight and all bolts and screws are in place, the other reason why i had an annoying scretch when i started up my car when it was cold was that the alternator was not getting properly charged up, hence the noise, cars are tempremantal bastards it could maybe be something else

I had the same problem. Started off with a small noise then got worse. The bolt that holds the aircon pulley on had snapped and the pulley was rubbing on the power steering belt.

Might be worth jacking up the passenger side of the car and having a look.
