Hey guys, just bought my 1996 ek 1 not long ago and went for a service just over a week ago, changed spark plugs, o2 sensor, pod filter, oil and etc. However, i think a civic ek 1 fuel tank capacity is about 45 litres (correct me if im wrong) but my fuel gauge shows slightly less than a 1/4 tank full when it has 20 litres in the tank. P.S i know because i refilled petrol at less than 1/4 tank and was surprised to see that it took only 25 litres to fill it up full. should i try to drive it till the fuel light come on next time? for just fill it up normally?
Another question, my pod filter makes a pretty loud whistle between 2-3.5k rpm? lol not sure if its the silicon reducer is ****ed or whatever...
thanks for taking the time to look at my noob question. cheers fellas:D

As for the whistling, my Injen CAI also does that at half throttle between 3-4k rpm. Nothing to be worried about.

Yeah even my open K&N stock replacement makes that whistle. The only reason it's open is cause I don't have the top haha

Your fuel gauge most likely isn't accurate - quite a normal thing.
Run it until the light is on and just check your fuel economy. Litres of petrol to fill tank divided by KMs travelled in hundreds (IE 420km = 4.2).

Get a top for that box bro. I ran my stock box without a lid before I upgraded to an Injen, and the amount of power I lost due to it sucking in hot air was extremely noticeable.

yeah i know haha, it's shocking in hot weather I tried to get one from a wrecker here in ACT but the dude was ridiculous. 2 weeks and apparently he didn't have time to remove the top of an airbox. so I gave up.

I got one if you it bro.
I know your planning on going down the ITB route, but I'm actually surprised you havnt got an Injen on yet! Or atleast some better flowing intake.

Yeah I really want an injen, I had one in my DA and it was awesome. but yeah got ITB's going in later on so it would only be on for like 6 months max.
I spoke to adrian about the stock intake/manifold and he said it's totally tunable just gotta adjust the timing of the butterflies to suit the cams.
