Hi there, I'm quite a newbie here. My car just ran over a kerb side while I was trying to turn into a narrow place yesterday and the bottom of the rear panel was smashed... I've attached a photo here...
Is it possible to fix ?
Does it worth the fix ? I mean, how much would it cost to fix versus if I "wait" for a "future" serious accident then claim the insurance. I just don't want to claim insurance for this as it may reduce my no-claim-bonus (sound a bit silly...).
Any advice will be much more appreciated !

best just to take it to any panel beater or one thats recommended around ur area. im sure its possible to fix if u have the money. just try to get some quotes 1st. OR you could cover it up with an aftermarket sideskirt lol
ouch, thats quite an expensive spot to fix, but it is fixable
wait till for a future accident or just as aero said, get a side skirt and cover it

yep they have to cut it off and weld on a new section.

or they could pull it out and bog it up..

Pretty sure most places would just pull it and bog. Then they can spray the area and colour match it. I think you should just go get quotes from a few places and see if YOU think it's worth fixing.
still expensive to repray though cos some people will go you need a full rear quarter panel respray with it as well,
unless you can get someone pro to blend the paint to the original paint

It will definitely be pulled out and bogged. Those areas are pretty accessible.
They'll most likely blend the paint and clear then buff the whole panel.
Not sure how much it wil cost though.
