He's referring to current pricing, not looking to research pages and pages of peoples tyre reviews.

Mate those gIII prices are very expensive. You should be able to get them for about $165 in the 55 profile.

I wouldn't go to Tempe Tyres if you paid me btw.

I'm currently rolling on some very responsive Toyo TPG's in 195/50. If you want 55 profile PM me and i might be able to help you out.

I'm after 2 new tyres aswell :p

I've already got 2 Bridgestone GIII and in search for anohter pair.
I got them a year ago for $177.

So can any other size tyre fit the 195/55 rim?

G3's in 195/55 R15 are rare i was told my the the supplier where i got it from thats why its expensive but dont know if its true

It's also to do with the fact they are "OEM" size. The 50 profile looks better and is cheaper. Some detractors will mention the fact it throws your speedo slightly out of sync, but the 2% difference is probably something I can live with. :)

$177 for 195/55 gIII is pretty pricey.

Are you after a set of 4 tyres or just the 1?

If your just after one id just hunt at the wreckers for one that matches what is on your car at the moment.

I know where to buy Falken Azenis silent sports (ST115) for under $100 each!!!
195/50/15.. I think Tempe sells them for $20 more...
They're not as good as the REAL sports in terms of grip, but they're much better than most other street tyres.. I havent tried them myself but my mate who is a rally driver is on his 2nd set on his road car so they must be doing something right..

PM for details..

i picked up my goodyear eagle f1's for 127 a pop 195/50/15.
i'm not rapt in the feel of the things, but they seem to grip okay, particularly in the wet. they got me a 2.1 60' which i believe isn't too bad for street tyres too.

oh yeah, that was from bob jane bankstown.
