Hey Guys...

Just need some advice, ive had a stock b18c7 (Eg Civic) for 8 months now and im abit sick of it
im willing to spend 5k ish on the engine its self but no sure what to spend it on (engine wise) to gain alot more power and will 5k be enough?
and its a regested car so nothing to hectik ;)

And i want to keep up with V8 and turbo cars and also want to keep it NA

your best bet is to talk to the guys from toda.
they can manage and sort you out.

they give u warranty on their builds too (from what im told)

What kind of intake system/ headers and exhaust do you have? Ill firstly upgrade those before thinking about engine rebuild for more power. Once all that is upgraded get a tunable ECU i.e hondata, neptune and etc and tune it.
After that look into running a close gear ratio gear set, relatively cheap to buy and performance wise will outweigh other mods further on.

rebuild with more aggressive cams and get a proper tune with I/H/E.

If you change the cams you'll need a new ecu and tune and changing your final drive or ratios will give you your best bang for buck improvements as is suggested. Have you researched at all, and how far do you think 5 k is going to get you also?

i agree with fatboyz.
i had a b18cr n lucky i didnt waste 5k modifying it.
Instead i bought a k24 which rips the shit outta the 1.8litre

10k budget if you sell the b18c7

B20Vtec using the B18C7 head with Full Toda head package and high comp pistons, port and polish, ITB's, Injector Dynamics 725cc injectors, Walbro fuel pump and Hondata S300.

You'll rape turbo cars but I think that'll be a buttload more then $5K lol

otherwise if you just want more fun, do the head internals (cams, gears, valve springs, valves) and get the head shaved while you're at it, then hondata + tune. :)
