Hey guys, you guys might be able to help me out with this question.
Im looking around carsales in search for a s2000.
I've noticed that on some s2000 the vents on the front bar are color coded and some are black.
Just wanted to know if this is a optional upgrade on the s2000 from factory or is it a respray? possibly due to an accident

thanks

If they are colour coded it means the bumper has been resprayed. Factory comes in black.

Also with the rear bumper there should be a black line on the bottom unless it has been resprayed.

as above but its not painted black, it is black plastic. Some have tried to disguise a respray by painting it black.

Oh no's always thought they were clipped in.. And what's the black line you speak of on the rear bar? The Rear Valence?

The part just above, and inbetween the exhaust pipes. It's part of the rear bar but left unpainted and black.

Mine are cut for ek foggies, just for show :). Pretty easy if you have the proper tools. but as Nismo3oi said, the front vents come black stock.

^ Easy fit?

Yeah I guess so, gotta keep cutting, put the housing on see where it doesnt fit, cut again, and repeat and try make a perfect fit.. And to hold the housing and EK foggie together i used black silicon as other people have said that the ek foggie comes out from the housing. With black silicon on the inside of the bar, shouldnt be able to see it from the outside if its done properly. Hope this helps

Re the rear bumper bar black strip ontop of the exhaust, I just had mine (99') replaced after a 4wd reversed into my original rear bumper (with the black lining) and they said they could only replace with an 03' model rear bumper. BUT THE BLACK LINING ISN'T THERE!!

IIRC the bumpers don't come painted. So blame whoever painted it.

Very tacky.. See so many cars trying to pull it off... The new commodores look good with them.
