View Full Version : Poor Moderating

I recently created this thread:

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?147504-DC2-4-R-Fuel-Consumption

I created it to collect figures relating to fuel consumption of all three models. A moderator cited four threads that he claimed to have covered the topic sufficiently, and closed the thread. This is, to put it bluntly, complete bullshit.

Not one of those threads served the same purpose.

"heavy foot = more mileage clocked on full tank???"
"DC4 Integra GSi taking too much fuel"
"Km's per tank? litres per 100km?"
"fuel consumption on vtir"

These threads all related to specific issues people were having with their cars, or weren't at all related to the GSi model. All I needed was feedback from other Integra drivers on their fuel consumption, but apparently it's the done thing to dig up an old, unrelated thread which also includes the term 'fuel consumption', rather than simply creating a thread which addresses my actual question, and allowing other members to choose whether or not they wish to assist me.

This awful 'moderating' serves only to prevent me from interacting with the supposed community in any meaningful way, and interferes with the culture of assistance that car lovers are meant to embrace. People were naming the model they drive, and the figures they were getting, and nothing more. It was helpful. Locking me out from that discussion was helping nobody. It was merely a way for the moderator to further drive home the message in his signature: A big "凸-_-凸" to me.

I come here for help and information related to my car. If you're going to prevent that, then there's no ****ing point in visiting these forums at all. Pathetic.

Have you tried contacting the moderator directly?

Please see:

Agreed. My threads get deleted as well being linked to other threads that are completely unrelated to what I asked or simply "use the search thread. Locked"

Does it really hurt that much for people to give 10 seconds of their time to help someone out?

There are actually some very nice people on here who go out of their way to assist.
