So guys, I had a pristine CL9 for just a short few months before it was eventually sullied... I hit someone's tow ball (long story). Not a deep dent but wrecks the overall appearance. I'd just come to terms with it and then I hit a hare driving up to Gladstone the other day. The bloody animal bounced out of my way then bounced right back into my way again -_-

So I got a towball dent on the right and a roadkill dent on the other (in the foglight recess). I don't want to leave it looking so beat up since neither of the dents was really my fault and I feel my self-esteem being attacked by judgmental stares lol

Anyway would it be better to save up and get it repaired by a fibreglasser or get a new front? I prefer a sleeper look so I would probably go OEM only. How hard would it be to get a used '06 CL9 front bumper in silver? Next to impossible, or are people taking them off all the time?

I'm new to the business so I have no idea of pricing for fitting, freight, respray, etc etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

You'd pay anywhere between 350-500 to get your own bumper fixed, bogged and resprayed depending if it is possible. Pictures of the bumper?

Ok, massive thread bump but got around to taking pics. I think it is going to be cheaper to replace the whole front bar and that is saying something! :(

Also noticed this paint chip on the boot door, its been there since I got it and don't know how it happened. What is the fix for it? The exposed metal has oxidised and the chip itself feels slightly raised =/
(dirty car, the chip is close to the middle of the pic, slightly to the lower-right)

For a panel beater to fix and respray that would cost around $450. But the filling agent will pop up over time again.

To get a second hand bar and have it sprayed, you'd be looking at 6-700 (approx)

Hmm, is that all? Interesting. How hard would it be to retrofit a foglight stalk inside if the second hand bar had foggies installed?
