hey all,

Someone i know is looking at buying a Honda Civic for his first car.(p plater in QLD). Hes found one that hes interested in but personally i dont think he should get it. But not being into hondas myself, id rather get some more informed opinions.

Here is a link to the car in question:

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=10321440&__sid=12DF2E49F479&__Qpb=true&Cr=2&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal |1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__N=1216%201282%204294965322%204294965250%20462%20 408%204294766528&SearchAction=N&PriceFrom=462&PriceTo=408&seot=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&trecs=85&silo=1011

Im abit weary about it as its been previously boosted, but now back to N/A. Disregarding the fact that the motor work isnt even P plate legal(despite him saying it is), Is it a good price for what it is? Call it jumping to conclusions, but i get the feeling its just someone who's boosted the high-comp(N/A motor) and now taken away the boost to sell it as the car starts to give up. Personally i think he should look at something more 'stock' and untouched engine wise for less money.

anything to look out for/ask the bloke?

Personally I wouldn't buy it since it's been boosted and probably driven illegally. It also looks pretty Ricey which isn't my style.

Good price $5-6g absolute max.

I suggest just forget it and like you say get a more stock option.

The wheels make me wanna punch a baby.

I'd rather drive a mardi gras float than face the embarassment of being in that.

With a 7-8k budget you could do much better. Keep looking.
