I have a pair of wheel chair batteries.
they are both 12v 10ah. Connected in parallel, will they be ok in a dual battery set up?
The auxiliary circuits won't be powering much, just stockish audio and a few lights.

connected in parallel would mean 12v still but more ccas

I thought it would still be 10ah. each battery splitting up the load, so 5amp each?

Conisdering most car batteries sit around the 50ah range and around 400-600cca(to which a wheelchair battery wouldn't be suited). No it would not work. The voltage drop at cranking would most likely kill the battery.

They will never be used for cranking, just to power light accessories. what do you think?

Might be ok... Best thing to do would be to calculate the amps your car is gunna be drawing from the lights, and whatever else. If that value is more than your batteries are going to output, or your alternator can charge, then its not going to work.

what would the benefit of this be?

more batteriess means less load on each.
no real world benefits, just something to do.
