Heya --- does anyone know of anywhere that do lambo door conversions? Apparently there are some places on Queen St. that do it, but I know of nowhere specific. Any other info would be apperciated (prices too). Cheers, LORYDA

It's actually a bracket which no modification require. All you need to do is take off your factory bracket and replace it with the aftermarket one.
Also it will involve a bit of time to do the adjusment for the height in order to close your door. I install mine for around 2 and half hrs.
I get mine from www.vivagarage.com. Price is $1550 plus local shipping which is around $80-100..
Hope this info helps.
how easy is it to get in and outt of a car? do you have to slide into the car more then just sit straight down?

Well it's pretty hard to get into the car when you just installed it.But once you get used to it, it's pretty easy... because you will still able to open the door let say about 40% angle comapre to the factory angle.
At least it is not require to lift up my doors everytime i get into the car.
Once i get used to it i can just sit straight down into my car.
is the bracket just bolt-on or needs any drilling?
also does it include gaz shocks, cos I heard u need quite some effort to open and close the doors

The bracket won't reqire any drilling... You will use all your factory holes to bolt-on.
Also it does include gas shocks as well. The shocks will help you to open the door easier. So don't really need a lot of effort to open it.

I'm located in Adelaide.
You don't need to roll the fenders.... Again no modification require.
overall was it worth it?
do you take your car to shows etc..

Yes it's pretty worth to do it.... it does take a lot of attention in da show.... imagine the doors were so high lol....
Yup i did take my car to shows.
$1500 is not too bad a price for kit but i would think it would only be worth it if you take the car to shows, or like the attention..
Wouldnt mind seeind those doors on an NSX, that would really make it into a super car.
What are the legalities to these things? Legal? i would say not.. right?

Just wanna update the price.... As what Vivagarage told me they are $1495 plus shipping.
Yup not a bad idea for shows etc..... But honestly i never lift up my doors during normal day..... too much attention... just only for show. lol

nelson is a dodgy guy, i dun trust him at all, kinto made his widebody there, nelson initially asked for 4k, but when it was done he asked for $6k!! whats the deal with dat, although i have to admit he has creative ideas, hes so INCONSISTENT with the price

Hope Nelson doesn't read the forum or get back to him. Nelson himself is not dodgy. Its his wife. Everyone knows when you deal with Nelson deal with him alone and avoid the wife being there. I've heard alot of Nelson inconsistant pricing and they all end up being Nelson giving a good price and his gold digging wife naggin him for more. Saying that his always been good to me and hope he doesnt find out what i just said or else i gotta find new mechanic.

yeh punhatch, i saw ur car at the show, couldnt get enough of it, haha, nice work, but back to topic, ive actually been in and out of a car that has those door, its not too bad actually, unless ur extrememly overweight, i dun see any problem of getting in/out cos i got some quite nice clearance.
and if ur located in melb, give jr auto or cyber century a call, cos i think both of them quoted me 2000 including installation...not 100% sure on that. hope that helps :)
