Buying new Odyssey - Question [Archive]

This will be my first Honda. I've only previously owned locally manufactured cars which I've bought with huge fleet discounts. My question is this; What is a reasonable discount off RRP to expect on a car like the Odyssey? Anyone out there who recently bought the new Odyssey who got a great deal? Any help would be much appreciated.

No, this is the standard model. Wonder why rrp did not come down with tariff reduction? I'll make an offer of $39k + mats + park sensor + tint and see what happens. Based on rrp, drive away price is $42k.

I'm in Canberra. Just recently transferred from Adelaide. Only 2 Honda dealers here. I'm going to try the local dealers first. If I can't get a good deal from them, I'll try Sydney.

I believe there is a sporty jap spec version with all wheel drive and a beefier engine, i doubt however that its a v6.
I sat in the luxury one at the motor show and fell on love with the front seats, theyre so comfy id probly fall asleep driving it :(
At the end of one of the bmi i think, there is a people mover battle with an oddessey but u dont see it all. Anyone know where i can get the whole thing?

yes your right viper torque is important in the oddyssey which it lacks. a v6 would have done a good job.

faiz..why do you even bother replying to topics..obviously your concern is lack of power from honda cars..go sell your slow crap...go buy something turbo or with a v6 engine or bigger and it will satisfy your needs for power...shesssh...

Faiz, Pimp = looks hot while standing still. Pimp cars go as slow as they want because it lets people see the car better. There's nothing in the definition of pimp that mentions how fast a car can go. As a matter of fact, it may come as a surprise to you but some people are just not concerned if you can beat a WRX off the lights.

Go see how many girls you can impress with a 400kw skyline, and i bet you could get way more attention in a black slammed oddysee with black tints and heavy chrome 19"s

I have just purchased an oddyssey luxury, pick it up on FRIDAY, cant wait. I have almost sold all my accesories from the civic except a few. My first mod is the H11's HID that cost me a whopping $470..

My advise to you, is you might as well go all out and get the LUX for a few grand more.. well worth the money for sunroof, rims, leather i think anyways :)
