JDMEP3 Check Engine Light P1167, need help

2002 JDMEP3, no mod, Check engine light comes up, code P1167
i did replace both front and back O2 and the same code still comes up
need help

Hey check the technical thread on ecu's it might not be the 02 sensor, there's a lost of the diagnostics problem there.

apparently the code relates to the primary o2 sensor.
*edit to be exact it is -
Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Heater System Malfunction

Also , have you cleared the MIL with a reset of the ecu ?

What is MIL??

I did not do it myself, but the ecu should be reset before

wait if thats for a/f ratio and you've replaced the sensors dont you just unhook the battery to clear the code Ben?

my friend said it might related to the Air Flow meter, is it possible?

its the aft cat O2 sensor, i had the same problem. 1166 from memory is the pre-cat sensor.

Make sure u buy a JDM aft cat, non of the US and EUR versions of our car will work since they are not a k20a. theyre either k20a2/3.

Theres no A/F meter, our cars use a MAP sensor (vacuum based).
