Hi,
I'm planning to get a HID light kit for my DC5R.
Any brand recommendation ?
What brand should I avoid getting ?

Thanks in advance.

okay dude i will tell you what is imo the best way to go... buy off ebay..
i bought my set off ebay and i have had them in my car for about 2 years now and they have worked perfectly the whole time....
you will also have alot more cash in your pocket over a store bought brand....

goodluck with which ever way you decide to go though dude

^ Exactly what he said, that's the best way hands down.

Buy a cheap one off eBay, and hopefully it'll be dazzling enough to kill some poor bloke.

Then you can buy a happy meal with the spare change.

^^Exactly! Don't listen to clowns this place is full of them......

Sure you can get one off ebay that MAY work for a couple years, but you will also be one of those annoying assholes spraying light everywhere with poor quality kits installed in a halogen reflector housing......

If you are going to put HID in a DC5 reflector you need a GOOD quality kit that is designed with the correct OEM bulb offset and gas tube location that will give you a better cutoff and less dispersion. RetroSolutions from America sell the best kits in the US and they arent that expensive, you can contact him via CRSX or he has a website. I bought my kit from him, 55w 6k digital slim (premium) and a bunch of T10 led's and they are fantastic. He has 3 kits from lower to high pricing, the upper 2 kits come with LIFETIME warrenty on the ballast and bulb which im sure those ebay kits do not offer. heres a quick pic of mine after installation, i have a cutoff pic somewhere if you want it.......

Cheers guys for the reply. Appreciate it.
I just got my car, and the current HID kit is spraying everywhere. This is very blinding to the car in front of me and I'm sure its a cops target.
And sometimes it turns on, sometimes it doesn't. Hence the question of quality HID kit.
Plus I want to change the headlight first back to original, its got angels eye headlight atm.
