I'm new and I think I posted my earlier message in the wrong place.
I'll try again.
Reading the info on this site helped me so much with my negotiations.
Just purchased a 2005 auto standard Euro from Ferntree Gully Honda (Victoria) through Mark. Shopped around for ages and got the best deal and best service from Mark. Ferntree Gully Honda is a great little dealership. Paid $35,000 driveaway including mats and slimline plates. Purchased at the end of the month, as suggested. I've ordered silver, but will find out Monday if there's a wait for silver and if so, may have to take graphite for quick delivery. Silver appears to be 4 weeks away and as I'm due to be a grandma (last Friday) I really need a car NOW. Hope I've made the right colour choice. We live in the mountains and don't have a garage, so this is a consideration with colour choice.
Thanks to all for your invaluable information and details supplied on this site.
I hope I've made a good deal on price.

Geez, I wish I hadn't written that bit. I'm going to be a pretty trendy grandma and remember not all grans are little old grey haired ladies. Pretend I didn't tell you.
Did I do a good deal?

That's an awesome deal :D
35.5k was hard but 35k flat is even better.
I was going to get an accord euro standard too. Despite 35k being a bargin, my budget is not in reach of that, so i got myself a Honda jazz vti-s
Congratulations granny!!!

Phew! I would've died if you experts had given the thumbs down.
Someone on the site suggested waiting till month's end to buy and that was terrific advice.
Hated the new Milano Red (p'raps because I'm an oldie) and the blue looked a bit 'smurfie' so opted for a safe colour. Pity they don't have a nice metallic red in the range. Maybe they need a woman on the colour-choice panel!

Gee thanks.
I'm thrilled with my Euro, but a bit jealous of your Luxury. Maybe when I'm a great-granny!
Any pros or cons re colour?

U stated that u were getting silver before... Silver is ur safest bet because as u said before u don't have a garage so its gonna be outdoors. Another colour is white... Dark colours don't go to well with outdoors.. Graphite is not too bad & it is the most popular colour for the euro...
Just don't get black hehehehehe. The only reason i chose black was because it is a good canvas to modify the car to look more bling bling.. If it is a dark colour u will be cleaning it regularly especially if its parked outside....
You can't go wrong with silver - it looks great on the Euro. :D
The only problem I can think of with silver is that it is now the most popular colour of new cars. I don't think that would bother you. Graphite is very dark and you will need to wash the car more to keep it looking good compared to silver (you mention no garage). I would stick with silver in that case. 4 weeks is not long to wait.

Welcome... 4 weeks isn't too long of a wait... I waited over 2 months for mine :) and the average wait for the Euro stands at around 7 weeks...

Yes, I have ordered Silver but they don't seem to think they can get one for a while, but because I signed after 5pm on Friday and they're a small dealership, they won't know till Monday morning (tomorrow) if they can locate a silver. They don't seem optimistic. I wanted to have a second colour choice for quickie delivery.
4 weeks isn't long to wait.....UNLESS you live in the hills and need human contact, PLUS need to get down the hill quickly to see new grandbaby-to-be any tick of the clock.

Woohooooooooooooo!
My super-duper dealer just phoned and he's located a Silver 2005 Euro that will be in my hot little hands either THIS Wednesday or Thursday!! Yay!!!!!!!
I had been back, in the meantime, to check out the Graphite as a stand-by colour choice and must say it looked nice in the sun. I originally saw it in the rain and it didn't show it off so much. Either colour would have been nice but now I won't have the dirt showing so much with the Silver. Especially as I don't have a garage. (had one, but a tree fell on it)
I've never liked Silver in the past, but saw a bloke taking delivery of one at a caryard on Friday and it looked bloody bewdiful. Mind you, it was the luxury, so it couldn't look anything else!
Can't wait to pick mine up.

Graphite used to be my favourite Euro colour but now I like White (it has a cool pearl tinge to it), Black, Silver, and Blue.
Be sure to post some pics of it when you can :)

I think White's a nanna colour...and because I'm going to be a nanna any second, I can't have that.
I'd rather be a groovy granny.

I did see someone taking delivery of one with a spoiler and thought that was pretty good, but they quoted $795 fitted so I might give it a miss for now.
Glad I chose silver because the weather's foul and my car looks luvly.
Told my husband if there's ever a choice between him or my Euro, I'm afraid he'll have to go.
