after finding this on gumtree for $150 it got me wondering wether i should care more about the sound of my exhaust or the sound of my system, i decided to stay true to my system and get it finished by the end of school holidays!

what do you guys think is more importnt to you, your exhaust or your sound system?

looks legit enough... seems like just another run off the mill custom cat back ;)

Not a fan of the angle, its poking downwards :/

Bear in mind a cannon is loud, but atleast its got a resonator so should b fine for the job, but other wise, its good enuff :D

yea thats true haha but for $120 i dont think ill be finding that again! but yeah, iv got 2 kenwood 6x9s, a mtx terminator sub (without a box) and a 500w amp just waiting for a head deck and a sub box! i think thats what i'll be doing this week

might get this! http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-gps-navigation/mp3-cd-tuners/sony/208-watt-mp3-cd-tuner-speaker-combo-sku-55290/

try an get something with 2 RCA outputs, since ur gonna run a 4 channel amp, that way u can fine tune the sound system even more... have channels 1-2 for front speakers and channels 3-4 output for sub..

but then what would the 6x9s kick off? x2 rcas are more expensive generally, tryna keep costs as low as i can, might take it into strathfield car radios n see what they can do for me

head decks with usb start at about that price, but as i said the sony bundle, best value for money... but if you wanted to be baller, mb quart or JL audio haha, but seriously, cant go wrong with that sony bundle, only down side no usb

yeah i guess thats true, i can always run music off my iphone with the aux in or kick it oldschool with cds! always been a big fan of jl audio, just too expensive :P i might get that sony one, it seems alright and with 2 xplod 6" speakers replacing my civics standard 6's should bring sound quality up a knotch ahha

yea man, it's expensive shit but good stuff. the stock speakers in the 96-00 civic aren't too bad tbh haha i had my stock 6*9's amped lol they handled the power fine

my brothers old JL sub was probably the best sounding woofer i've ever heard in my life, for a single 12 it was the deepest and strongest bass iv heard haha now his mtx terminators just hit unbelievably hard, lucky i get one of them ;) yeah they arent too bad, i've still got some kenwood 6x9s to replace my 6x9s with. ahhhh i just want my system so i can pump some heavy basslines! **** the exhaust :P

yeah im thinking i might give this exhaust a miss and save for a nice dual remus axleback.. for now music > sound of my exhaust :P

just use that 180 to get springs or other aesthetics for your car. Eg LIP or wing or HID or all those honda fan boy parts.

I seriously don't approve ek cxi/gli with fat canons.

yeah either do i, but for $120 it seemed alright, gonna give it a miss though, putting my system as a priority right now!

i dont like either - go bare minimum stereo to save weight and get a nice sounding intake for induction roar

induction roar is nicer than exhaust or stereo lol

quality over quantity - i do 100kms a day round trip

MB quart splits in the front, MB quart co-ax in the rear - alpine deck - alpine amp etc

but i still love induction roar over anything =p

I just went through the same thing, I ended up going the sound system on my Ek1.

Music is something you can turn down, and if you have it set up right, it can really improve your car as a daily driver.

I teach music, and I sure as hell know that the last thing I want to hear after a long day of that, is a loud exhaust.

One of the best things you can do to your sound system is to amp the door speakers, it makes a massive difference.

moved to noob forum as not model specific.

PS I prefer the raw roar of VTEC any day.

i must agree with benjamine. the sound of the v-tec is like music to my ears.
but if i had to chose...i would pick exhaust... as long as it's not too loud...until v-tec kicks in

Intake sounds far better than muffler noise any day.
