Hey fellow Jazz owners,

Did anyone else receive a recall letter today from Honda? Apparently the wiring for the headlight lighting switch was found to be too short and could cause resistance, overheating and possibly melting the connector.

Luckily it hasn't happened to me yet but has anyone experienced this problem?

Will definitely be booking it in soon to get sorted.

Its been on recall.gov.au a while back. I have not experienced it myself and its a low hazard so doesnt bother me.

If i do want it to get looked at, do i contact the dealer i bought the jazz from or any honda dealer?

It just says make an appointment with your Honda Dealer. If you're not sure just call your local one and ask.

yeah I've received a letter about that too... what happens if you have HIDs install on the car.. will they still fix the switch?

probably takes a day.

In regards to.

if its still in warranty they might void it.
but as mines out of warranty and they want to fix it still as it is their fault.
so i would imagine its still okay, aslong as its the same cable.

Be safe about it and remove your HIDs. Just incase they decide not to fix it. IMO it's worth getting fixed just incase. But yeh the worse that could happen is the wiring dies and you book it in the next day =]

They advised me it will take up 1/2 a day. Booked mine just after Easter break.

Its something to do with the wiring being too short on the headlight switch

nothing to do with what globes your using.. I say just ring them and book it in..
