I didn't tell ya this, but do a search for the PDF.

Have you checked the lock off switch for the passenger side window?

And do you have the handbrake on when you put the roof down?

How far down is the roof retracting? most likely those 2 elastic things on either side. And the window thing happened to me too but i realised i accidentally knocked the window lock switch when i was cleaning interior lol. Also, has your roof been changed over the lifetime of the car? if not best bet is that it is those elastic thingos are goners! Btw what i've said to you can be found in "search" so it doesnt hurt to have a quick looksly!

Maybe your roofs not retracting because of your window...?

HI guys, I have found out its the control unit for the soft top that is playing up.My electrician tested it on the soldered points this afternoon and it works like the passenger window goes up and down. That goes with the top too.Sadly! it works individually with a soft pointed screw driver tested on it..
its the control unit for soft -top and its
black in colour 86500-s2A-003 OMRON G8D-745H-R no 010989 RH.
Anyone got a spare to sell?
Thank you william.

Try on S2ki. There's one wrecking locally and plenty in the US.

Do you think its ok to buy used rather than new?I am not sure if the control unit has a short life span.Anyhow, thanks and greatly appreciate.william tay

Yeah, I'd buy used. New will cost a bomb and as there are no moving parts it's not likely to wear out.

However, if an overload killed your last one it'll kill your next one too, new or used.

My mate was telling me there are 3 relays and its mechanical .I guess it does have alive span.He will try to repair it for me while I have ordered from hondwreckers for less than 1/2 price (P A R T S H E A V E N.com.au).Thanks.
