Hey guys.

Are the EF CRX Moonroof rare?, A mate is selling a good condition one but isnt sure what price to put it at?
Doesnt look like it because of the rear garnish and motor but are they a SI-R?

Dont know much about the CRX, thanks guys.

Not exactly rare to be honest. Most SiR models I see are glasstop. Only the JDM models had the optional glasstop - both EF7 Si facelift (non-VTEC) and EF8 SiR (VTEC).

If it's an SiR it will have an SiR badge on the back, top right. The tail lights will have a black plastic border around them, front indicators are curved around the bumper, raised bonnet instead of dipped with hump, headlights/guards/bumpers are all different. Vinyl seats and rear seats instead of the cloth ones + rear compartment. Cluster and dash is different. List goes on.

What condition is the car? What mods? KMs? And find out if it's SiR (B16A) or Si (ZC).

And of course...PICTURES!

I like it I reckon it's nice. I actually don't mind pre-facelift at all despite the regular trend of opinion...

Are you talking about the moonroof, being a Sunroof?

Or does it have the Glasstop roof in it?

If its the glass top would say could be anywhere from 3 1/2K to 6k

Yeah if I had an EF7 with gllasstop I'd want at least $5-6g assuming it's in good knick.

Pretty sure that the moon roof will add around 20kg of weight i looked at taking mine off and im sure it was around that weight.
Hope that helps

It's called glasstop because the entire roof is glass. A moonroof is a sunroof where you can open the sliding shutter that allows you to look out the top through the glass, like in the EG VTi. The glasstop allegedly blocks out 97% of UV rays.

Solid metal top = 6.1kg
Glass top = 12.0kg
Sunroof = 16.1kg

So from solid metal top to glass top = 5.9kg extra weight. Glass top to sunroof = 4.1kg.

Excellent!

Now go to www.crxaustralia.com where the CRX enthusiasts have their own little niche, and join up. Tell us where you live (I'm Melb, east side), what your plans are, pictures etc etc.

Then we're also having a small cruise in mid-May which you should come on to meet a few CRX guys.

My name there is Andyy.
