i know a few of you guys have put S2000 seats into civic coupes?

You shouldn't have any problem to fit S2000 seats in your lude, but you will need to modify your factory rails.

how much would it cost to modify the rails? and is it legal?

or would i be needing custom rails instead?

even if u did modify to fit.. I believe there would be the reclining issue... with the S2K Seats..

You should really call up maybe the rta to ask whether it will be road worthy if you fit modified rails into your car. Would be cheaper to make a 25c phone call than to go out and spend the money on mods. and find out you cant get it road worthy.

yeah.. different states vary.. so yeah.. best to ring first.. but in SA... modify rails = illegal.. so custom ones need to be made up..
