Hey guys, im absolutely in love with all the information, knowledge and just advice i've been getting since I been on these forums.
Honestly this is my work computers homepage ahah.

Anyways, last year I bought a clean DC5 type r, in artic blue. Had 70,000kms. Since i barely drive, work is 10kms away, gym is 2kms and girlfriends house is in between, in a year ive only put on 5,000kms.

So far what I have done:
Interior

Replace stock head unit with Pioneer AVH3500 bluetooth uni
Install two subwoofers in a custom made enclosure
Install a clarion amplifier
Replace the stock front and rear speakers with top of the line clarion

Replace the centre console with one from a wrecked red ITR, so I have the red stich boot. haha ( i love the red lights in the car, and it really sets it off)

Exterior

Remove the Type R wing, not for infinity however for the mean time ( i think it makes the car more unique)

Replace the factory headlights with halo projectors.

To the motor, ive replaced the stock exhaust system with the Skunk 2 Megapower RR and installed a Injen CAI.

So my question is i have another 2000 to spend, beside the money i have for my bronze rims :)...should i do the headers and intake manifold, thus need a new computer? Or can i get away with install the headers and intake and not fork out like 1000 for a hondata ecu...questiosn, thoughts :)???

I would stay away from changing the intake manifold for now unless you have the extra $2k plus to spend on an ECU and tune, otherwise you wont see much gains from it. Go for a nice set of headers, why not try out the Skunk megapower header as well?? You mite need to have a cat welded into it for legality (like most headers) but i think its probably the next logical step to take. Either this or some decent coilovers :)

What exactly do u want from the car?

Imo, sounds like u getting a soundsystem ticking all the options.. Subs, speakers, amps and head unit. That all weighs down the car, yet
Your also chassing power?

I reckon your power mods are great and suffcient forthe street. Injen cai for the vteccrossover note, ad exhaust to sound alot more tough!

What about suspension work? Coilovers to adjust the height to your liking not only improves the aesthics, but its gonna improve handling!

What about maintaince/protect car?
Dc5 are notorious for pissweak engone mounts! Billet mounts sre def. Way to go! All dc5 owners who have the car for at least a year is certain to upgrade mounts! An upgraded alarm system?

Imo- keep the itr wing. Prefaceluft doesnt lookngood wingless or even with a decklid either.

You also on 70k klm... You said you had
Your car for 5000 km since ownership.... Drive your car! I mean, modding your car and not using it is stupid! But yeah.. Maybe save $500 of that as your 80k klm service is ur first semi major service.

i guess this is a question for an opinion?. keep it WING-LESS (but its up to you)
i hardly see any dcr5/dc2r model without spoiler, it looks too much of a "post-2000" fast n furious toys especially the R's.

having said that, im pondering of removing my dc2 Type-R spoiler as well, thats just me growing out of the --almost 10 years-- boy-racer look....

Lol i drive my alot eheh.
I just bought some new shocks and springs, and also have installed mugen engine mounts, and rear bar.
Im waiting to get someone to install this 2way viper alarm i bought, with remote start and such but im yet to find someone to do it.

So i think ill just get the headers and the rims for now.

Ill definately start putting up some pics, hopefully get this in the build thread.

Damn your lucky with all the locations you needa go to in such close vercinity, Work for me is a good 55-60kms a day and isn't so pleasent with Tein Monoflexes!

I think i've clocked a nice 15000~2000kms in the past 3 weeks lol

if i was you and chasing more power i'd look at getting a nice set of headers or height-wise maybe some nice coilovers as the DC5 is a dam 4WD when retaining stock sussy then save the rest for your major service upcoming unless you're able to DIY then do some O.T and get both and you'd be rolling!
