out in May for US market, already on the US honda site. form the 2 links from above it looks pretty the same as the USDM ones (the 2nd link) (but i assume we wont get K24's like them? since we dont get "Si" badged hondas here)

the fn2r will cease production for next year... so atm it looks like we're only gonna get some slow boxes and a super expensive 5 door hatch. not sure what the next gen civic 'sport' will house. maybe a watered down k24...?

The problem is that the Si may look good, but IMHO it still lacks power and torque compared to the competition. If we get the next Type R in OZ it will have the same powerplant as the Si model in America.
The Japanese 9th gen Type R will be more powerful and will not be available in Australia........as usual.
Mugen Honda had a 2.2L that produced 190kw and about 240 Nm,the 2.4L will still produce 147kw?????C'mon Honda ,pull your finger out!!!
I know it's been discussed to the nth degree, but Honda has indeed deserted the enthuasist and in addition we still hear rumours that the next NSX is back on the cards???
Honda enthuasists world wide have had a gut full of Honda's empty promises and constant nauseating references to it's PAST racing achievements!
Honda nowadays, cannot be believed but if I could give a message to the CEO of Honda Ito San it would be; "Don't talk the talk,if you can't walk the walk".AND
don't try to appease the world's Greenies with devoting the vast majority of resources to hybrids.Come to think of it, Honda can't even get their hybrid program right.

Raztaz

Delays are to be expected after the devastation caused by the recent earthquake, lots of suppliers were badly effected so a shortage of parts is a problem & will be for some time. The following is an extract from a Honda Japan statement.

Honda and its domestic consolidated subsidiaries recognized approximately JPY45.7bn of losses," the automaker said in its results statement. "Honda and its domestic consolidated subsidiaries did not recognise the costs of future restoration activities expected to be incurred in the next fiscal year
