How much weight can roof racks carry?

I have a crazy idea of mounting a go kart on the roof instead of using a trailer since my Jazz doesnt have a tow ball. Is this even legal? lol

I did some trial and measurements today and theres enough space even with the wheels and bumper pods on. Weight of the go kart is about 90kgs

I think the roof racks are rated around 70kgs, well that was what my thule ones were rated at for my EK.

Yeah there's a few different sorts. If you get the heavy duty ones they can hold up to 100kg.

I checked the Thule ones for the jazz its rated for 50kg. Is that per bar or overall?

kool.. do you know roughly how much it costs to put a tow ball on the rear?

Depends on what bar you get. Normally like 350-400 for the bar, and then another few hundred to be fitted. Plus the plug and loom, and wiring that into the factory loom. Total cost can be up around 900.
