Hey guys. I have a 92 del sol with b16a2. I've read the forum and it has been said it rev limits at about 8000rpm. Mine cuts out just over 7000rpm. Anyway I had a look at my ecu and it's been tampered with. I tool it out on the back in pink tester is written 95 civic viti. The wires fit flush into it and look unmodified. Is this a completely different ecu that shouldn't be in this car?

Seems like it is the Vti ECU, but how does that work ?

That's what I thought. I'm puzzled as. Any other suggestions?

I'm no ECU guru, but they're both OBD1 and VTEC engines. VTI redline is 7200, cutout about 7400 or so? Just get a Del Sol ECU and swap them over, should be an easy solution.

Will do. Do you think it could be doing damage by running this ecu for the meantime?

It's a stock ecu, can't be tuned.

Just get an OEM Del Sol ECU. Probably $50-100. Cheap, problem solved...
