Hi guys,

Anyone done a DC4 Gsi to DC2 conversion? Any info will be helpful as the loom form both cars are very different and the loom seems to spider even to the back of the car

Thanks

are you doing the whole engine conversion or just the head?

what year is the GSi and what year/make is the Dc2?

1994 Gsi, 1996 DC2 VTiR, not doing the stupid vtec head shit, the whole proper conversion.

its straight swap but you will need a obd1 vtir ecu and distributor

Finally someone who has done the conversion. Thanks for the reply.

Do I need any obd conversion harness or just replace the ecu and distributor. The engine harness on the engine side looks the same, but there are also some wires missing, do I need a obd conversion harness too?

Cheers

96 is obd2 , you have 94 obd1 loom, better to get obd1 vtir computer and distributor . You will need to run a wire from your loom to the Vtec solenoid . The wire is still in your loom you will just need to find it and connect electrical wire to it to the Vtec solenoid.

Awesome info dude. I noticed there was one wire missing from the main engine harness connector and presume that is the vtec solenoid wire missing from the GSi harness. Thanks mate you have been a great help and right to the point. +1 for GSi_Psi
