Hey guys,
i was wondering what is involved in installing a B18cR. Would it be a straight fit or would i need to extra parts (harness, etc). Also the would my current cable gearbox fit the b18cR motor?

1. use the search function. and google.
2. yes it will fit straight in. Most of the loom should be sweet, there might be a couple of sensors that need modding, diff wiring, but thats about it
3. yes the box will bolt up

If you have a genuine JDM SiR with B16A as factory, then it's not a big deal.
But the EF9 SiR is OBD0 & B18CR is OBD2a so you will need a new harness or quite a bit of work modding what you have. (I recommend Rywire Mil-Spec for zero greif fitment)
If you do go a new loom, I also recommend you just use OBD1 ECU connectors & a Hondata S300 in a P28 with tune for best results. (Stuff staying OBD2a - only your dissy, injectors & alternator will be that; unless of course you want to stay with the stock ECU or use a Power FC)
& don't go too spastic on the clutch... I.E: Don't go past an Exedy sports organic (HCK-6886SO) as you'll have cable issues.
(You may need to smack the bonnet support bracing a little too for clearance)

If you've got an Aussie model well then it's a whole differnt ball game.

I thought the EF9 would have been OBD0?

Anyway why would you go B18CR when you already have a B16A? Do a B20 IMO.
