Just wanted to know if everyone who owns a euro shares the same Idle speeds or if there somthing wrong with my Euro.

On cold start up when in Parking Gear on auto Idle speed is 2000-2200RPM but once I shift into Drive falls to around 900RPM.

Is this right ?

yes

its the engine managements way of keeping everything at optimum temp, to reduce exhaust gas pollution.

Just want to confirm if this is done electronically or is it the load from the torque convertor? If from TC, then is it bad for the engine in terms of not letting it warm up first. Will the engine warm up better in Park or Drive/Reverse?

if you want 500rpm idle like I'm experiencing - that was a thril when i first saw it!

anyway - turn off HIDs, air con, fan whatever, just run it raw :P
