Ok so i've been driving myself almost crazy, and probably everyone on the forums. And ive been searching meticulously to find wheel fitments for stock DC5r, stock height and no camber kits and trying to avoid rolling guards.

So ive come down to two last fitments,

tell me your thoughts on how they would sit, and if you think its a good choice for look (ie. trying to get an aggressive look).

17x9 ET +35 - probably as aggressive as it gets, cause it will be sticking out a bit.
or
17x7.5 ET +45 (would this wheel look quite crap? or would it look aggressive?)

Has anybody fitted these on a DC5, or know if either would fit.

17x9 +35 won't be poking or anything, It'll be flush-ish. Run a 225/45. It's going to look crap at stock ride height, so get aftermarket suspension first.

Simple maths would tell you that the other set are going to be weak.

This has been covered a fair bit (on here and the internet in general).
